The Trièves Museum is nestled in small streets in the heart of the historic village of Mens. A real country museum, formerly a soldiers garrison, which traces the history of men but also of the territories that make up the Trièves landscape.
Les collections du Musée du Trièves
From the first human occupation in prehistory, to the modern era marked by the Protestant presence, to the Resistance, the Museum speaks of history but also of rural heritage and village life.
Mont Aiguille and its history are represented here with, in particular, the model of the prehistoric site of the Pas de l’Aiguille.
You will also be able to discover the artists who have stayed in this area (Jean Giono, Edith Berger, Emile Gilioli).
The visit is designed as an invitation to discover the area, the sites and monuments steeped in history and the landscapes so characteristic of this region.
