The Trièves Museum is nestled in small streets in the heart of the historic village of Mens. A real country museum, formerly a soldiers garrison, which traces the history of the local population and the communities that make up the Trièves’ landscape.

From the first human occupation in prehistory, to the modern era marked by the Protestant presence, to the Resistance… the Museum speaks of history but also of rural heritage and village life.
The Mont Aiguille and its history are represented here with, of particular note, the model of the prehistoric site of the Pas de l’Aiguille.
You may also discover the artists who have loved and lived in the Trièves (Jean Giono, Edith Berger, Emile Gilioli).
A visit to the Museum is designed as an invitation to discover the area, the sites and monuments steeped in history and the landscapes so characteristic of this region.
