Introduction

Spend half a day learning about prehistoric life through fun and creative workshops in the great outdoors. These workshops are available for groups of 8 to 15 people—whether you’re with family, friends, or your organization.

Just like hunter-gatherers 20,000 years ago:
Make fire “without matches” using friction or percussion, erect Paleolithic teepees made of animal hides, craft jewelry using flint awls from plant fibers and seashells, throwing spears with a spear thrower on a target course in the forest, trying your hand at archaeological excavations at a reconstructed site using archaeologists’ tools, or finding inspiration through drawing, sculpting, and pottery-making with clay.
The workshops are led by an experimental archaeology instructor. All equipment and necessary materials are provided.
Workshop themes are available upon request based on your project.
