Introduction

Three potters, one beekeeper, and one woodturner have come together in this shop, which is attached to the pottery studio. Here you’ll find handmade pottery, bee products, sheepskins, and locally crafted leather and wood items.

Welcome to the Poteries et Compagnie shop in Monestier de Clermont, located at the top of the village, next to the Crédit Agricole and across from the parking lot.
Here you’ll find:
- Handcrafted pottery: Cups, mugs, bowls, salad bowls, carafes, jars, and candleholders...
- Bee products: local honey, nougat, beeswax candles...
- Trièves sheepskins, tanned using traditional and natural methods...
- Leather moccasins and fur soles
- Handcrafted and locally made wooden items: Delicate jewelry, spinning tops, puzzles, knitting looms, hanging pots...
- High-quality local products: Juices, jams, skincare creams...

Gervaise Camus-Aussedat, a potter who has been based in Monestier for over 35 years in this shop. Gervaise throws and shapes red clay coated with a white engobe, staying true to the “terre vernissée” technique, and finishes it with a transparent glaze. Her plant-inspired designs brighten up all kinds of everyday pottery. Poppies, grapevines, cornflowers, ginkgo leaves, and graphic patterns…
For her designs, she uses colors she mixes herself from clay, applying them with a brush or a dip tool.

Marjolaine Camus, her daughter, who grew up in this environment of artisanal and handcrafted creations, draws inspiration from wildlife and the mountains.
Her creations on black glazed earthenware (faience) are crafted using dipping, a clay applicator, or engraving techniques with contrasting colors, and finished with a transparent glaze.
In the shop, Marjolaine also offers local sheepskins, entirely handcrafted using natural methods.
As a fresco and mosaic artist, Marjolaine also works from home, creating wall decorations, sgraffito, and relief paintings...

Etienne Camus, a beekeeper since 1984, offers products from his bees.
Wildflower honey from the hillsides of Trièves and Vercors, with a delicate flavor that varies slightly depending on the season and the flowers the bees forage from; propolis; and handmade beeswax candles.

Agnès Campioni joined our workshop in 2025! She creates porcelain ceramics. Characterized by its white color and high-temperature firing, this technique offers the advantage of great durability. Agnès offers modern shapes and patterns in shades of white, blue, and black, sometimes with touches of red.

Mon petit Bois’art: With a CAP in carpentry for over 10 years, Lolita Valanchon has returned to her first love with her handcrafted creations made from local and/or recycled wood, and joined the shop in early 2021 with delicate pieces inspired by the specific types of wood she works with. What you’ll find: Jewelry of all styles combining wood, natural stones, and/or leather; colorful 3D puzzles for kids; spinning tops; knitting looms; hanging pots; unique home decor; and other creations waiting to be discovered...

You’ll also find high-quality local products: jams from St. Andéol, fruit juices from Monestier-du-Percy, skincare creams from the Diois region, soaps, honey nougat…
Feel free to stop by—we’re here to welcome you and give you a tour of the pottery studio (with a little luck, you might even see a potter hard at work!) Tuesday through Sunday, from 10 a.m. to noon and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
