Introduction

A loop starting from Saint Andéol that takes you along the foothills of the Vercors, at the foot of the impressive cliffs, to the Peyrouse shelter. The shelter was renovated in 2022 thanks to the efforts of the Vercors Park, the commune and local residents.

After warming up on the slope, you'll climb up to get closer to the impressive cliffs of the Vercors' eastern balcony!

Step by step

Start: In the village of Saint-Andéol, the “Saint-Andéol” signpost is next to the town hall.

1) Take the asphalt road that climbs up and passes in front of the town hall towards “La Source”.

2) Follow the signs for “Ruisseau Rafin”, staying on the asphalt road, which becomes a footpath as you leave the village.

3) Take the left-hand track to “Petites Tartices”, then the right-hand track to “l'Eterpa”, then the left-hand track to “Casse Longue”.

4) After this first warm-up section on the piste, you'll tackle the tougher climb up to the perimeter trail. Follow the signs for “Tours du Playnet”.

5) Continue left on the perimeter path, direction “Sous la Tune de l'Ours”.

6) Continue to “Bois de Pierre Blanche” then “Abri de la Peyrouse”.

7) Return following signs for “Kopyto”, “les Grands Clots”, ‘Creuzara’ and “Bourg Menu”.

8) All that remains is to follow the asphalt road on the left to “Croix des Charreyres”, then “Les Charreyres” and finally “Saint Andéol”.
