Introduction

Kintsugi: the tree that repairs / Japanese technique for repairing objects
The art of repairing broken crockery by embellishing it

When crockery breaks, we throw it away or glue it back together, but if we use chemical glue, the crockery is relegated to decorative, non-food use, unless we resort to traditional kintsugi, which not only makes the crockery reusable but adds a singular beauty to it.
