Introduction

"Sur les Pas des Huguenots" is a European cooperation project involving the creation of an international hiking trail following the historical route of the exile of the Huguenots* from the Dauphiné.
This is the stage linking Le Percy to Mens.

When the Edict of Nantes was revoked by Louis XIV in the 17th century, imposing a return to "the true religion", a period of exodus began for the Protestant population. "Sur les Pas des Huguenots" is a European cooperation project involving the creation of an international long-distance hiking trail following the historical route of the exile of the Huguenots* from the Dauphiné.
The stage described here links Le Percy to Mens, through the magnificent landscapes of the Trièves.

Step by step

At Le Percy, at the wash-house, turn right onto the track leading down towards Monestier. After the bridge, stay on the main track, which veers off to the left. Continue as far as Monestier du Percy.
1 -Turn right at the church, then left, then right in the direction of "Mens / Prébois". Go downhill on the road and, before leaving the village, take the road and track that go down to "Les Bayles" for 150m, at the transformer.
2 - At "Les Bayles", take the D252 departmental road.
3 - At the crossroads, leave the D253a ("Prébois") and continue straight on until you find the path at "Souberat". Cross the road and continue in the direction of Prébois. At the fork in the road (signposted "Bayardières"), follow the signs for "Serrya".
4 - At Le Serre, take the road to the right, leaving the first path to the left and taking the second in the direction of "Prébois / Saut du Loup". When you reach the road, turn left, then follow the D 253, which winds downhill.
5 - After crossing the Ebron, continue on the D 253 and take the path which climbs straight up. Turn left onto the road leading to Prébois.
6 - At the wash-house, turn right, then immediately left into the road leading downhill. Go straight on to the cross. Turn right towards Mens (signpost "Veyre Eycour", direction Mens). Follow this road to the "Mas Martinenc", following the signs for Mens. Pass over the Mas and, at the end of the field, turn left. Leave a track on the right.
Be careful, the ruts are flooded in bad weather.
7 - At "Flachet", continue straight ahead. At the next crossroads, continue straight ahead. At "Margounon", go straight on down to "Moulin de Chardeyre". After the mill, take the path on the right that leads to "Beaumet". Alternate between road and track to reach Mens.
