Introduction
Grand Veymont is the highest peak in the Vercors massif. It offers breathtaking panoramic views of the plateau, the eastern foothills, Belledone, Chartreuse, Ecrins and Dévoluy.
The route from Gresse is fairly straightforward, with a forested section, then alpine meadows, and a little rocky terrain at the end.
On the way back, we cross more alpine pastures and then go around the valley in a very forested atmosphere: a beautiful mixed forest, with many larches, flamboyant in autumn.
